Amber Carithers praised for ensuring every student feels capable of succeeding
HUTCHINSON — Hutchinson Community College has recognized English instructor Amber Carithers as part of its "Inspiring Instructors Summer Series," praising her dedication to ensuring every student feels capable of succeeding.
The former Kansas Teacher of the Year regional finalist was celebrated by the college for putting 110% into her students both inside and outside the classroom through bi-weekly check-ins and endless patience.
According to the college, Carithers' approach to teaching goes beyond grading essays to emphasize a welcoming environment where students are assured there are "no stupid questions."
