Hutchinson Art Center continues Saturday Morning Artist sessions

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Hutchinson Art Center has been hosting Saturday Morning Artists sessions, offering local artists and art enthusiasts a chance to practice their skills in a supportive group environment.
The sessions run from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Saturdays at the center, located at 405 N. Washington St. Participants pay $8 and bring their own art supplies to join the creative group.
The program features live figure drawing with models, and the center encourages both in-person and remote participation. Artists working remotely can draw the week's model and share their images via email to media@hutchinsonartcenter.net by 3:30 p.m. on session days for potential inclusion in the center's social media posts.
Recent featured artists include Peg Stephens, Louise Hutchison, Scott Vesper and Alex Epp.
"Big thanks to Jennifer for modeling for our artists today," the center posted on its Facebook page, emphasizing the come-and-go atmosphere of the sessions. "This week's model's outfit was inspired by the flower fairies of illustrator Kate Greenaway."
The Hutchinson Art Center has supported fine arts and creativity in Hutchinson since 1949. The organization maintains a 68% recommendation rating based on 15 reviews.
