One resident, a Vietnam veteran living nearby, described the noise as “extremely loud” and detrimental to the well-being of nearby residents, citing rattling windows, traumatized pets and personal stress. Another resident, noted the range was moved about 100 yards closer to homes and that the removal of trees and berms has amplified the sound. Both residents asked the city to help facilitate a discussion to find a solution. The city attorney noted that while the city and county could review the issue, such disputes are often considered civil matters between property owners.
