Shared Placer.ai contract
HURON, S.D. — The city commission has agreed to renew the Placer.ai contract for another year. The contract is shared with four other organizations: the South Dakota State Fair, a local procurement listing service, the Huron Chamber & Visitors Bureau and the Greater Huron Development Corporation. The city's share of the cost is $2,160, a small increase from the previous year. Officials noted the technology is valuable for evaluating events and attracting new business.
Public library hold harmless agreement
HURON, S.D. — A hold harmless agreement has been approved between the Huron Public Library and the city of Iroquois for the placement of a mailbox and book return box outside Iroquois City Hall. The book return box is expected to be utilized by 15 local families. A similar agreement has been successful with Wolsey.
