Historic Opera House Completes Window Restoration Project
Top-floor windows replaced after safety concerns prompted community foundation grant.
MCPHERSON, Kan. — The McPherson Opera House has successfully completed restoration of its deteriorating top-floor windows using grant funding from the McPherson County Community Foundation's general grant cycle. The historic venue's upper-level windows had fallen into poor condition and posed safety risks before the restoration work began, prompting officials to seek community funding for the critical repairs. The Opera House recently released photographs documenting both the restoration process and the completed project, showcasing the renewed windows that will help preserve the landmark building for future generations while ensuring visitor safety.
