Historic McPherson County Farmhouse Falls to Kansas Winds

MCPHERSON COUNTY, Kan. — The Old Farmhouse, a well-known rural landmark along K-4 east of Marquette, collapsed Sunday after finally giving way to persistent Kansas winds, according to Kansas Living. The abandoned structure had long been a recognizable sight in western McPherson County and a favorite subject for photographers and rural history enthusiasts. Multiple public posts identifying the site place it off K-4 east of Marquette, though a precise street address and ownership details were not immediately available. Kansas Living said the farmhouse was last documented standing in February.
