Goats report for groundskeeping duty at McPherson golf course
Meet Turkey Creek's temporary grounds crew: 200 goats, contracted by the city to clear brush near Avenue A over the next 4–5 days. Steer clear of the electric fence.

MCPHERSON, Kan. — Roughly 200 goats have taken over groundskeeping duties at Turkey Creek Golf Course to naturally clear dense brush and debris from a nearby creek bed. The city of McPherson contracted with the company Restoration Grazing to deploy the herd for four to five days on an outer section of the course near Avenue A. Officials warn residents and golfers to steer clear of the temporary grazing zone, which is enclosed by an electrified fence to safely contain the animals.
