Girls Varsity Soccer Falls in State Quarterfinals

MCPHERSON, Kan. — The McPherson girls varsity soccer team saw its season come to a close Thursday, falling 2-1 to Rose Hill in the Class 5A state quarterfinals at McPherson High School. Becca Lulloff opened the scoring on an assist from Lleyton Kuhn, but Rose Hill's ability to possess the ball proved decisive, as the Bullpups' late push to equalize fell short. "We wanted to win today to earn 5 more days together," coach said. "These girls have created an amazing soccer culture that has made this season one of the most enjoyable coaching experiences of my life." The Bullpups finish the year as undefeated league champions and regional champions.
