Girls Swim Takes Third at Salina Meet

SALINA, Kan. — The McPherson High School varsity girls swim team placed third out of seven teams at a meet in Salina, scoring 425 points behind meet champion Manhattan (542) and runner-up Salina South (535).

Adyson Wiens led the Bullpups with first-place finishes in the 100 butterfly (1:07.86) and 100 breaststroke (1:19.42), while Ella Schrag posted runner-up finishes in the 50 freestyle (28.11) and 100 freestyle (1:03.91). Schrag's 50 freestyle time earned state consideration, and McPherson's relay teams added depth with second-place finishes in both the 200 freestyle relay (1:58.34) and 400 freestyle relay (4:51.76).
