Galaxy Technologies Employees Support Winfield Food Pantry Through Thanksgiving Drive

WINFIELD — Galaxy Technologies held a friendly workplace competition in November to benefit the Winfield Community Food Pantry, resulting in a donation of 700 items to support local families in need.

The competition, held in addition to the company's annual Thanksgiving celebration, challenged employees to collect food and household items for the pantry. Teams competed for prizes, with the top-performing group earning the opportunity to "pie" other members of the Assembly Teams in the face. The competition allowed both Mike Kelly and Angie Polk to participate in the pie-throwing activity.

"We are so proud of our amazing employees, we were able to donate 700 items to the local food pantry," the company stated. "We're grateful for everyone who contributed!"

The Winfield Community Food Pantry thanked Galaxy Technologies for the donation in a Facebook post, calling it "an amazing job."

The donation drive demonstrates the company's commitment to supporting the local community during the holiday season when food pantries typically see increased demand for services.
