Families can cut their own red cedar trees at Roger Schultz Community Park on December 6.
MANHATTAN, Kan. — Manhattan Parks & Recreation will host its 10th annual Red Cedar Holiday Harvest on Saturday, December 6, from 8:30 to 11 a.m. at Roger Schultz Community Park, offering families the opportunity to cut their own Christmas trees for free. The family-friendly event, partnered with Britt's Farm, will feature hayrack rides to and from the tree cutting area, with farm goods available for purchase. Participants must bring their own handsaws, as chainsaws are prohibited, and Parks & Recreation staff along with Manhattan Fire Department personnel will be available to assist families during the harvest.
