Foundation Launches Galva Community Fund with $50,000 Match Challenge
Anonymous donors pledge matching funds during September 29-October 2 Match Week

McPherson, KS- The McPherson County Community Foundation has announced the establishment of the Galva Community Fund, backed by a generous $50,000 matching pledge from anonymous donors. During Match Week, running from September 29 through October 2, every dollar donated to the new fund will be doubled until the full match is met, effectively allowing community members to double their impact on local initiatives.
The Galva Community Fund represents the sixth community-specific fund in McPherson County, joining a network that has previously supported diverse local projects ranging from youth programming to beautification efforts. As an endowment fund, it will distribute approximately 5% of its balance annually while investing the remainder to ensure sustainable community support for generations to come. Residents can contribute during Match Week through donation boxes at Farmers State Bank and Home Communications, Inc., online at McPhersonFoundation.org until midnight October 2, or by mailing checks postmarked by October 2 to the Foundation at P.O. Box 822, McPherson, KS 67460. Those interested in making Qualified Charitable Donations from IRAs should contact the Foundation at 620-245-9070, with pledge forms accepted through December 31.
