Fireworks with a Fireman Returns This Friday
McPherson Fire Department Brings Safety Education and Summer Fun to Hopp's Sno Shack

McPHERSON, KS —The McPherson Fire Department is hosting its annual "Fireworks with a Fireman" event this Friday, June 27th, from 6-10 PM at Hopp's Sno Shack, located at 214 E. Euclid Street. The family-friendly event combines summer entertainment with crucial fire safety education, featuring live music, food, and interactive demonstrations designed to teach the community about fire prevention and fireworks safety.
This year's event will include three hands-on safety demonstrations that promise to both educate and entertain. Attendees will witness a live fireworks demonstration where firefighters will teach youth how to safely handle and dispose of fireworks using materials provided by the department. Visitors can also participate in fire extinguisher training using state-of-the-art equipment and watch a "Close Before You Doze" burn box demonstration that illustrates why closing bedroom doors before sleep can save lives. The event offers fun for all ages while delivering potentially life-saving safety information to the McPherson community
