Fire department accepting advance school supply donations
HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Hutchinson Fire Department is accepting advance donations for its annual school supply drive, with corporate sponsorship from Allen Samuels, RCB Bank and Ad Astra Radio.
The fire department announced Friday that donors can drop off school supplies at all fire station locations ahead of the official drive dates.
Ad Astra Radio has joined as a new corporate sponsor and will broadcast information about the school supply drive to help promote the community effort.
The department encourages residents to visit fire stations in person on Aug. 1, 2 and 3 to participate in the drive or learn more about donation opportunities.
The annual drive helps provide school supplies to students in the Hutchinson area at the start of the academic year.
