Fairfield School District prepares for 2025-26
USD 310 July sports schedule

The Fairfield School District (USD 310) is gearing up for the upcoming 2025-26 school year with important updates for families regarding enrollment deadlines and school meal programs.

Enrollment Information

Students and families have multiple opportunities to complete their enrollment for the new academic year. Online enrollment opened on July 28th, providing a convenient option for families to register from home. For those preferring in-person assistance, the district will host enrollment sessions on July 31st from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The first day of school is scheduled for August 13th for students in kindergarten through 12th grade, with Pre-K classes beginning on August 18th.

School Meal Program Updates

USD 310 Fairfield has announced its meal application process for the 2025-26 school year, with detailed pricing information now available for families. The district continues to offer both free and reduced-price meal options for qualifying families.

Meal Pricing Structure:

  • Elementary School: Full price breakfast costs $1.75, lunch $3.75; reduced price meals are available for $0.30 for both breakfast and lunch
  • Middle/Junior High: Full price breakfast $1.75, lunch $3.75; reduced price at $0.30 each
  • High School: Full price breakfast $1.75, lunch $3.65; reduced price meals $0.30 each

The district encourages all families to apply for meal benefits, as children may qualify for free or reduced-price meals based on household income. Eligibility is determined using federal income guidelines, and the application process includes detailed instructions to help families navigate the requirements.

Families receiving benefits from programs such as Food Assistance (FA), Food Distribution Program on Indian Reservations (FDPIR), or Temporary Assistance for Families (TAF) automatically qualify for free meals. Additionally, foster children, homeless students, runaway students, and migrant students may be eligible for free meals regardless of household income.

Federal Income Guidelines

The district has published the Federal Eligibility Income Chart for School Year 2025-2026, which outlines income thresholds for different household sizes on yearly, monthly, and weekly bases. For example, a household of four can qualify for reduced-price meals with a yearly income up to $59,478.

Community Partnerships

In an exciting development for school spirit, Fairfield High School has partnered with HidePark to create an exclusive product collection featuring unique hats made from repurposed, authentic game-used footballs. This collaboration not only provides fans with distinctive merchandise but also supports the Falcons program, as a portion of sales returns to benefit the school's athletic programs.

The team store was scheduled to close on July 24th, with all orders shipping within two weeks of the closing date.

Getting Help

Families with questions about the meal application process can contact Amy Riggs at ariggs@usd310.org. The district emphasizes that all enrollment and meal application information is designed to ensure every student has access to the resources they need for a successful academic year.

As the new school year approaches, these updates reflect Fairfield School District's commitment to providing accessible education and nutrition programs for all students in the community.
