ECS Eagles Defeat Wichita Classical 36-28
Pyle scores 22 points to lead Eagles to victory
The Elyria Christian School Eagles girls basketball team earned a 36-28 road victory over Wichita Classical on Wednesday afternoon. Pyle dominated inside with 22 points on 9-of-17 shooting while going perfect from the free throw line (4-for-4), adding 7 rebounds and 2 blocks in the winning effort.
The Eagles never trailed in the contest, building leads as large as 14 points. Moody and Prescott each contributed 5 points, with Prescott adding 5 assists and 5 steals while Moody recorded 4 steals. Stone chipped in 4 points and grabbed 5 rebounds for the Eagles. The ECS defense held Classical to just 26.2% shooting from the field (11-of-42), including 17.4% from three-point range, while forcing 22 turnovers. The Eagles shot 43.3% from the field and controlled the tempo throughout the game.
