Eagles Grind Out 34-25 Road Win at Goessel

The ECS Eagles earned a hard-fought 34-25 victory at Goessel Monday night, overcoming a disciplined defensive effort from the well-coached Bluebirds. After a back-and-forth first half that saw the Eagles take a narrow 15-14 lead into the break, ECS pulled away in the second half with a 19-11 scoring advantage.

Joy Pyle led the Eagles with 18 points and nine rebounds, narrowly missing another double-double. Grace Prescott orchestrated the offense with nine assists while adding eight points, and her defensive pressure resulted in nine steals. Haven Bower also made her presence felt on defense with seven steals while contributing two points.

The Eagles received solid contributions across the roster, with Kami Noggle adding three points, Abigail Stone chipping in three, and Amelia Moody pulling down five rebounds. ECS held a 28-24 rebounding advantage and forced 29 turnovers with their aggressive defense. The victory sets up a challenging matchup as the Eagles host Little River at Central Christian College on Friday night.
