Eagles Fall to Hanover in Road Contest

The Elyria Christian Eagles struggled to find their footing on the road Tuesday night, falling to Hanover 66-22.

Hanover jumped out to a 21-6 lead after the first quarter and never looked back, extending the advantage to 43-8 at halftime. The home team built a lead as large as 44 points, using a 16-0 scoring run at one point to pull away.

Grace Prescott and Joy Pyle led the Eagles with 10 points each. Prescott knocked down two three-pointers and added 3 assists, 3 rebounds and a steal while playing all 32 minutes. Pyle shot 5-of-10 from the field and contributed a team-high 7 rebounds along with 2 blocks and a steal.

Haven Bower added 3 steals defensively, while Amelia Moody chipped in 2 points.
