Eagles Dominate Wakefield Behind Pyle, Prescott Double-Doubles

The Elyria Christian Eagles put together a dominant defensive performance Tuesday night, holding Wakefield to just six points in a 52-6 victory at Goessel. The Eagles jumped out to a 26-2 lead after the first quarter and never looked back, building a 51-point advantage by game's end.

Joy Pyle led the way with a double-double of 16 points and 10 rebounds while playing just over 21 minutes. She shot an efficient 8-of-13 from the field and added two blocks. Grace Prescott also recorded a double-double of a different variety, pouring in 15 points to go along with an impressive 10 steals in only 16 minutes of action. Prescott shot 60 percent from the floor and added three assists.

Haven Bower set the tone early, scoring six of the Eagles' first eight points and finishing with six points, three steals, and four deflections in her 16 minutes. Amelia Moody contributed five points and four steals, while Abigail Stone added five points and three assists. Mallorie Jader connected on her first career varsity three-pointer, finishing with three points and two assists.

The Eagles travel to Herington on Friday for another league matchup.
