Cowley College Wins National Marketing Award for Theatre Poster

ARKANSAS CITY, Kan. — Cowley College has earned a national marketing honor for its promotional work on a recent theatre production, according to a news release from the college.

The college received a 2025 Paragon Award from the National Council for Marketing & Public Relations at the organization's national conference in Washington, D.C. The award recognized Cowley's marketing team in the Poster category for work created to promote the college theatre's production of James and the Giant Peach, the release said.

The Paragon Awards recognize outstanding achievement in design, strategy and communication at community and technical colleges, and are the only national competition of its kind that honors excellence exclusively among marketing, communications and public relations professionals at that level, according to NCMPR.

This year's competition drew 1,585 entries from 216 colleges across the country and was evaluated by 67 industry professionals, the release said.

Patrick Stone, NCMPR's 2025-26 president and director of strategic communications and marketing for Cape Cod Community College in Massachusetts, said this year's winners demonstrated that when community colleges invest in creativity and innovation, they amplify their mission and transform lives.

Cowley College was founded in 1922 and operates campuses in Arkansas City, Mulvane, Wellington, Wichita and Winfield. The college is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission.
