Cowley College Hosts Series of Community Events

ARKANSAS CITY — Cowley College will host several events this week designed to engage students and the broader community.

The college's Student Pantry is collecting winter hats and gloves throughout November to help students stay warm during the upcoming cold months. Donations can be dropped off at the Nelson Student Center or the Galle-Johnson Admissions Office. Questions about the drive can be directed to studentpantry@cowley.edu.

On Friday, Cowley College will participate in a clothing and household goods giveaway at Central Christian Church, located at 206 W. Central Ave. in Arkansas City. The free event runs from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and is open to anyone in need.

The college continues its Classics Re-Imagined season with performances of "Twelfth Night, The Musical" on Nov. 21-22 and Nov. 23. Evening shows begin at 7:30 p.m., with a 2 p.m. matinee scheduled for Nov. 23. The production features music and lyrics by Tony Award-winner Shaina Taub and is conceived by Kwame Kwei-Armah and Taub.
