Cowley College Hosts JAG-K Region 4 Career Development Conference

ARKANSAS CITY, Kan. — Cowley College hosted the JAG-K Region 4 Career Development Conference on Tuesday, Feb. 24, welcoming students from across the region for a day of competition, leadership development and career exploration, according to the college.

Students representing multiple schools gathered on Cowley's Arkansas City campus to compete in events designed to highlight their academic preparation and workplace readiness skills.

Competitive events included Prepared Speaking, Project-Based Learning, Financial Budget, Employability Skills, Career Preparation and Creative Decision Making.

Winfield earned top honors as the overall team champion at the conclusion of the day's events, showcasing exceptional performance across multiple categories.

The conference gives students a platform to demonstrate the skills they have developed while building confidence and professional experience, according to the college.

By hosting the event, Cowley College reinforced its commitment to workforce development and to supporting programs that positively impact students across Kansas.
