City to Host Virtual Water Management Forum
Online event will cover stormwater pollution and flood safety topics for residents.
MANHATTAN, Kan. — The City of Manhattan's Stormwater & Floodplain Program will host a virtual forum Wednesday, Dec. 3, from noon to 1 p.m., covering topics including common pollutants, household hazardous waste disposal, water quality improvements, erosion control, flood hazard information, flood insurance, and floodplain permitting. Residents can register for the online event by emailing Shaun Linenberger at shaun.linenberger@cityofmhk.com, with the forum designed to educate the public about both stormwater management and the natural functions of local floodplains.
