City to hold public hearing on grant performance for neighborhood upgrades
Meeting set for Jan. 6 will review housing rehabilitation and Walnut Street reconstruction
MCPHERSON, Kan. — The City of McPherson will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, Jan. 6, to evaluate the completion of a Community Development Block Grant project focused on neighborhood development. The hearing is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. inside the City Commission Chambers at 400 E. Kansas Ave. Officials will review the performance of Grant No. 22-HR-007, which funded the rehabilitation of 12 homes—seven owner-occupied and five rental units—and significant infrastructure improvements. The project also included the reconstruction of Walnut Street, featuring new concrete pavement, drainage upgrades, and ADA-compliant sidewalks. The public is invited to provide oral or written comments during the session.
