City Commission renames streets in Veranda development

MCPHERSON, Kan. — The McPherson City Commission has adopted an ordinance renaming two streets within the Veranda residential developments to resolve clerical errors that prevented previous filings. Ordinance No. 3455, passed Dec. 30, renames both Veranda Drive and Veranda Court to Veranda Lake Drive. The measure corrects omissions in two prior ordinances from 2023 and 2024 that failed to include necessary legal descriptions for the McPherson County Register of Deeds. The name change affects property owners in The Veranda West Subdivision, The Veranda Planned Unit Development Plan and Eagle’s Wings Estates Unit Two.
