Virginia Governor - race called

DEMOCRAT ABIGAIL SPANBERGER WINS VIRGINIA GOVERNOR RACE, ACCORDING DECISION DESK HQ

Democrat Abigail Spanberger holds a significant polling advantage over Republican Lt. Gov. Winsome Earle-Sears in a race that will produce Virginia's first female governor. The contest follows a pattern where 11 of the past 12 Virginia gubernatorial elections have been won by the party not holding the White House.

New Jersey Governor - race called

California Democrats’ proposal to redraw congressional districts to stymie President Trump’s agenda was approved by voters .

Proposition 50, one of the most expensive ballot measures in state history, was initially a coin toss when the state Legislature placed it on the Nov. 4 ballot in August. But supporters, led by Gov. Gavin Newsom, successfully used the proposal as a visceral way for Trump opponents to push back against the president during an off-year election about the esoteric topic of congressional redistricting.

California voters are deciding whether to reject an established non-partisan redistricting process and approve new congressional district maps that could deliver Democrats up to five additional House seats in direct response to Republican gerrymandering efforts in Texas.
