Cherokee Strip Land Rush Museum to Host Evening Event

ARKANSAS CITY — The Cherokee Strip Land Rush Museum will host "A Night at the Museum" on Feb. 28 from 5 to 7 p.m.

The free community event will feature new exhibits exploring Cowley County's history, including the people, places and moments that shaped the community from early days to the present.

Attendees may discover pieces of their own family history during the visit, according to event organizers.

Light refreshments will be served.

The museum is located at 31639 U.S. 77 in Arkansas City.

Amanda Stickel Evinger, a museum representative, encouraged residents to attend the event to see exhibits and discover aspects of local history they may not have known.
