Changes to email newsletters
New subscription management page and newsletter format

This weekend (Aug 16-17), citizen journal is making major changes to the way we send out our newsletters.
The biggest change will be to our newsletter format. We will no longer send out emails containing the full text of the articles, and will instead send out a summary with a link to open the article in your browser. In the future, this will also allow you to open articles directly in the app.

We understand that this might be a frustrating change for some, especially those who have grown to rely on our daily national and kansas newsletters showing up in their inboxes. We have made this change so that we can continue providing high-quality local news for free. Advertisements power our journalism and, with the upcoming launch of our advertiser portal and new ad network, we will not be able to display the location-based ads in our email newsletters.
You can press the "Unsubscribe" button at any time to stop receiving emails for that edition of the citizen journal, or log into the "Manage preferences" portal to unsubscribe from all of our newsletters with one click.
We have also simplified our subscription management while we work towards unifying our email newsletter and app notification subscriptions. We have created a new website, subscribe.citizenjournal.us, to help you manage your subscription preferences. Since our recent expansion into 4 additional states (WY, NE, SD, and AZ), our existing subscription tools have gotten crowded and difficult to navigate. This new portal will allow you to easily choose which cities to subscribe to with just one click.

We will also send you a verification email before you manage your preferences.
Existing subscribers DO NOT need to take any action and news service will continue uninterrupted.
Thank you for your patience while we roll out these changes!
