Chamber of Commerce Seeks Donations for Stars and Stripes Event

ARKANSAS CITY, Kan. — The Arkansas City Area Chamber of Commerce is requesting gift basket donations for its annual Stars and Stripes fundraiser scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 7.

The chamber announced Tuesday it is seeking contributions for raffle prizes at the event, which will be held at the Burford Theatre in Arkansas City.

"This is a Great way to showcase your goods/services to Hundreds of potential Customers," the chamber stated in a social media post.

Businesses that donate a gift basket valued at $100 or more will receive up to four tickets to the chamber's annual Administration Professionals Luncheon on April 22, according to the announcement.

The evening will begin with a happy hour hosted by Union State Bank at 127 S. Summit St. at 6 p.m., followed by the main event when the Burford Theatre doors open at 6:30 p.m.

The chamber is also promoting the event as its annual banquet, celebrating local businesses and community members.
