Cancer Council of Reno County to host 'Amalfi Coast Affair' Purse Auction July 16

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Cancer Council of Reno County will hold its annual Purse Auction fundraiser July 16, 2026, at the Crystal Ballroom at The Burt, with doors opening at 5 p.m.

This year's event, themed "Amalfi Coast Affair," will feature silent and live auctions of designer and specialty purses alongside coastal-inspired décor and atmosphere. The evening is presented by Hutchinson Regional Medical Foundation.

Proceeds from the event support local individuals and families in Reno County facing cancer diagnoses.

"Every dollar raised supports local individuals and families facing cancer right here at home," organizers said.

Corporate sponsorships are currently available. Tickets go on sale May 15. Community members are also invited to donate new purses, baskets, luggage and other items ahead of the event.

Donation drop-off locations include RCB Bank on 30th Street, attention Pat Brening, and Peechy Keen Salon.
