Bullpups sweep rival Buhler in road doubleheader

BUHLER, Kan. — The McPherson High School varsity boys baseball team swept Buhler in a road doubleheader Tuesday at Wheatland Park, winning Game 1 by a score of 7-5 and Game 2, 12-2, to improve to 21-5 on the season. In Game 1, starter Huggard worked three innings before Chapman retired 17 consecutive batters over six innings, striking out seven and walking one to earn the win; in Game 2, Buchman went five innings with four strikeouts and two walks before Rinker closed it out with two innings, three strikeouts and one walk. The Bullpups will host a Regional next Tuesday.
