Bullpups Volleyball Sweeps Final Regular Season Matches

WINFIELD — The McPherson varsity volleyball team wrapped up its regular season in dominant fashion Tuesday, sweeping both Winfield and Augusta on the road.

The Bullpups defeated Winfield 25-10, 25-15 before taking down Augusta 25-15, 25-14 to close out the regular season. Ava Romero led the offensive attack with 17 kills and added three aces, while Carmin Pavlovich contributed 12 kills and Elley Paulsen added 11. Setter Rylie Whitfield orchestrated the offense with 39 assists and anchored the defense with 10 digs. Brooke Doile led all defenders with 11 digs, while Romero added nine digs to complement her offensive performance. The Bullpups controlled both matches from start to finish, winning all four sets by comfortable margins as they head into postseason play with momentum.
