CONCORDIA, Kan. — Jett Pyle scored a career-high 35 points, including a clutch floater in overtime that stretched the lead to five, as McPherson defeated Concordia 73-66 in the Class 4A boys sub-state finals Wednesday night.
The victory sends the Bullpups to the state basketball tournament for the 62nd time in program history, breaking a tie with Kansas City-Wyandotte for the most appearances in Kansas history. McPherson advances to the state quarterfinals against Atchison Wednesday,
