Bullpups Place Third at Adnale Invitational

CHENEY, Kan. – The McPherson Bullpups girls golf team finished third overall at the Adnale Invitational with a team score of 338, though the squad didn't quite play to their full potential at Cherry Oaks Golf Course. Senior leaders Andi Buschbom and Brodie Kuhn paced the Bullpups with identical rounds of 78, earning them a tie for eighth place individually. Freshman Lleyton Kuhn continued her strong rookie campaign with an 87 that put her in a tie for 14th place.

The Bullpups received additional scoring contributions from Pera Bauer (95, 33rd), Amelia Moody (104, T-46th), and Addie French (110, T-57th). While it wasn't their best day as a team, the Bullpups showed grit and battled to the end, maintaining their competitive positioning with the third-place team finish.

Meanwhile, the JV squad found success at their 2-person scramble tournament in Hutchinson, with the duo of Leah Cahoone and Rosario Schowengerdt capturing second place with a score of 44. Ari Prose and Maylin Bruce followed closely behind in third place with a 45, while Brynn Littlejohn and Cali Whitenack finished just outside the top 10 with a 54. The Bullpups will return to practice this week preparing for Thursday's tournament in Hutchinson.
