Bullpups Fall to Andover Central in MAC First Round

The McPherson Bullpups saw their hopes for a Mid America Classic title slip away Wednesday night at the Roundhouse, falling 41-35 to Andover Central in first-round action of the 31st annual tournament.

McPherson held leads for much of the game—including an eight-point advantage midway through the third quarter—but the Jaguars stormed back with an 18-point fourth quarter to secure the victory.

Brooke Doile led the Bullpups with 12 points and nine rebounds, while Rylie Whitfield added nine points and five boards in the losing effort.

McPherson will look to bounce back in the consolation bracket, facing Shawnee Mission East at 4:35 p.m. Friday, with the winner advancing to the 5th place game and the loser dropping to the 7th place contest on Saturday
