Bullpups Fall to Andover Central Despite Heroics from Herrera
Varsity drops 0-2 decision while JV falls 0-3 to the Jaguars
The McPherson High School Girls Soccer team faced a tough test against Andover Central, with both the varsity and junior varsity squads coming up short on the day.
The varsity Bullpups put up a fight, generating six shots on goal and getting a standout performance from goalkeeper Ellie Herrera, who made an impressive 11 saves to keep McPherson in the game. Despite her efforts between the posts, the Bullpups were unable to find the back of the net and fell 0-2 to the Jaguars.
The JV squad also struggled against Andover Central, dropping their contest 0-3.
