Bullpups Dominate Buhler 68-46 on Homecoming Night
Reasoner's 21 Points Lead McPherson to Commanding Victory
The McPherson Bullpups put on an offensive showcase Thursday night, defeating Buhler 68-46 on homecoming at the Roundhouse. The Bullpups jumped out to a 17-11 first-quarter lead and never looked back, building their advantage to as many as 24 points in the fourth quarter to improve to 11-8 on the season.
Freshman Eli Reasoner led the way with 21 points, converting 11-of-12 free throws while adding nine rebounds, three assists, and four steals. Senior Jett Pyle contributed 14 points and six assists, while Cole Cooper added 10 points and seven rebounds. Cade Strathman chipped in six points, Ashton Malm scored five, and KJ Harrison connected on a three-pointer for five points off the bench.
The Bullpups controlled the game on both ends of the floor, shooting 57.9 percent from the field and 78.3 percent from the free-throw line. McPherson held a 31-18 rebounding advantage and forced 15 turnovers. Brycen McCurdy led Buhler with 20 points, while Luke Holmberg added eight and Gabe Edmund contributed six. The Bullpups will travel to Circle on Tuesday looking to continue their strong play.
