Bullpups Boys Varsity Soccer Rolls Past Winfield, 7-2
Yahir Valadez scored four goals as McPherson dominated in the second half.
MCPHERSON, Kan. — The McPherson Bullpups varsity boys soccer team defeated Winfield 7-2, with Yahir Valadez accounting for four of the team's goals, including two in the opening 90 seconds of the second half. Jackson Martin opened the scoring on an assist from Achilles Palacios, Grayson Broadus added a strike from outside the box just before halftime, and Jameson Bowers capped the scoring in the second half on an assist from Dmitry Peters, with goalkeeper Hunter Schroeder finishing the night with two saves. The JV Bullpups also won, defeating Winfield 4-0 behind a goal and two assists from Pedro Francisco and a goal and assist from Malachi Griggs.
