Bullpups Boys Varsity Soccer Edges Buhler 2-1

MCPHERSON, Kan. — The McPherson Bullpups varsity boys soccer team rallied from a penalty-kick deficit to defeat Buhler 2-1 Friday at McPherson High School Stadium, with Yahir Valadez equalizing off a turnover and Grayson Broadus netting the go-ahead goal off a corner kick. "It was far from our best performance of the season, but I was really proud of how the boys handled adversity and found a way to get another hard-fought win," the coach said. A Buhler player was shown a red card late in the second half for a dangerous slide tackle on the goalkeeper, and the Bullpups held on from there, with Hunter Schroeder finishing with one save.
