McPherson's varsity boys finished fourth as both programs collected multiple medalists.

NEWTON, Kan. — The McPherson Bullpups varsity boys cross country team finished fourth at the Newton meet Saturday, led by Tripp Pelzel's fourth-place finish in 17:29 and Xavier Hartinger's 13th-place effort in 18:01, with both earning medals. On the girls side, Adeline Kramer (11th, 21:32), Kamryn Prescott (12th, 21:32) and Eliza Jex (20th, 22:46) all medaled, while Connor Forsberg paced the JV boys with a 10th-place finish in 19:44. "The entire team embraced the cooler weather this morning and ran either their fastest or second fastest times of the year," coach said. "This meet was a huge confidence booster that we will look to carry into the upcoming weeks."
