Bullpups Boys Dominate Hays 60-44 at Home
Pyle, Reasoner Each Score 18 as McPherson Improves to 10-8
The McPherson Bullpups took control early and never looked back Monday night, defeating Hays 60-44 at the Roundhouse. McPherson built a 35-19 halftime lead and extended their advantage to 25 points in the third quarter before coasting to victory.
Senior Jett Pyle and freshman Eli Reasoner led a balanced offensive attack, each finishing with 18 points. Pyle knocked down 11-of-12 free throws and added three assists, while Reasoner was efficient from the field, hitting 9-of-16 shots and grabbing four rebounds. Ashton Malm contributed eight points, Cade Strathman added five, and Cru Buchman chipped in five points off the bench.
The Bullpups controlled the boards with a 24-20 rebounding advantage and committed just 10 turnovers while forcing 19 from the Indians. Dawson Ruder led Hays with 13 points and Andre Pfeifer added eight, but the Indians couldn't keep pace with McPherson's balanced scoring. The victory improves the Bullpups to 10-8 on the season. McPherson will host Buhler on Friday, February 13, in their next game.
