Bullpup Softball Sweeps Winfield in Home Opener

MCPHERSON, Kan. — The McPherson Bullpups opened their home schedule Monday with a doubleheader sweep of Winfield, rolling to a 19-4 win in three innings before closing with a 16-2 victory in five. K. Huggard led the Game 1 offense with a 2-for-4 day, four RBIs and two runs scored, while A. Schroeder went 3-for-4 with two RBIs, R. Whitfield collected two hits including a triple, and P. Bauer contributed two hits, two runs and three RBIs. C. Pavlovich earned the Game 1 pitching win, throwing all three innings while striking out four, and Schroeder followed with a complete-game two-hitter in Game 2, striking out six as R. Whitfield went 4-for-4 with three RBIs and a home run to pace a 20-hit attack.
