Breaking News: Garage fire in Hutchinson causes moderate damage

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Firefighters quickly contained a garage fire Monday morning in the 500 block of North Victory Road, officials said.
The Hutchinson Fire Department responded at approximately 7:30 a.m. to the detached metal garage, which measured about 25 feet by 25 feet, according to a news release from Division Chief Jeremy Unruh.
Crews conducted an aggressive interior fire attack and brought the blaze under control. A primary search confirmed no one was inside the structure.
The fire caused moderate damage to the garage and its contents. No injuries were reported.
The cause remains under investigation by the Hutchinson Fire Department and Reno County Sheriff's Department.
Reno County Emergency Communications, Reno County EMS, Reno County Sheriff Department, Reno County Fire District 9 and Keim-Harvey Joint Fire District 2 assisted at the scene.
