Boys Varsity Golf Wins Turkey Creek Invitational
Junior Cole Cooper fires 2-under 68 to lead Bullpups to team title.
MCPHERSON, Kan. — The McPherson boys varsity golf team claimed first place at the Turkey Creek Golf Course Invitational on Friday, posting a team score of 311 to edge Hays and Winfield, who tied for second at 314.
Junior Cole Cooper led the way with a tournament-winning 2-under-par 68, while senior Paxton Ingels finished second individually with a 74. Gavin Heider placed in the top 10 with a 77, and Hunter Vogelsberg and Lawson Ediger each shot 79 to finish tied for 16th.
