Boys Varsity Golf Takes Fifth at Sand Creek
Cole Cooper leads McPherson with a 78 in 19-team invitational field.
NEWTON, Kan. — The McPherson boys varsity golf team placed fifth out of 19 teams at the Sand Creek Station Golf Course invitational, posting a team score of 328 against a field of 115 players.
Cole Cooper paced the Bullpups with a 78 to finish tied for 12th, while Drake Timson tied for 15th with a 79. Hudson Krehbiel (85, T-32), Paxton Ingels (86, T-34), Teigan Younger (90, T-57) and Gavin Heider (91, T-61) rounded out the McPherson contingent.
Bishop Carroll captured the team title with a 290, led by individual champion Kaden Leivian, who fired a 5-under-par 67.
