BNSF to Begin Four-Week Railroad Crossing Repairs in Hutchinson

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — BNSF Railway crews will begin repairs on three railroad crossings in Hutchinson on Sunday, with work expected to last approximately four weeks.

The railroad crossings scheduled for repair are North Pershing Street between First and Second avenues, North Severance Street at First Avenue, and North Lorraine Street between First Avenue and East Avenue A, according to city officials.

The City of Hutchinson said closures and detours will be announced as work progresses on each crossing. Officials are advising drivers to plan ahead and allow extra travel time once specific details about road closures are released.
