Bluestem Communities Welcomes New Leader to Elevate Dining
Jacob Kerrigan appointed Vice President of Dining Operations
Bluestem Communities has appointed Jacob Kerrigan as Vice President of Dining Operations, a newly created role providing strategic oversight for dining services across the organization's five locations and three public on-campus restaurants. Kerrigan brings extensive food service experience, including work as a chef in restaurants and senior living communities, and most recently as Vice President of Culinary Operations for NEXDINE Hospitality. "The experience Jacob brings to this role is exciting for the organization," said Ryan Goering, Bluestem Communities Chief Operating Officer, noting Kerrigan's background will help synchronize dining operations organization-wide.
Bluestem Communities is a nonprofit serving seniors through life plan communities at The Cedars in McPherson, Kidron Bethel Village in North Newton and Schowalter Villa in Hesston, as well as Bluestem PACE programs in McPherson and Hutchinson. The organization also operates three public restaurants: Hesston Bakery and Café, Water's Edge Restaurant & Catering and The Local Table. "I particularly love senior living – the interactions with residents and connections made," Kerrigan said. "There is opportunity to elevate dining services across Bluestem Communities, and I'm looking forward to that journey."
