Information obtained by City of Hutchinson
HUTCHINSON, Kan. — West Avenue A will reopen to traffic Tuesday, Jan. 27, following months of construction related to the Woodie Seat Project.
The stretch between South Adams Street and South Madison Street will reopen to eastbound and westbound traffic at noon Jan. 27, restoring an east-west connection for residents, the city announced.
Before the roadway reopens, the public can walk the project site and view completed improvements from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Tuesday.
The Woodie Seat Freeway on-ramp at the roundabout will remain closed until the Avenue C Bridge Rehabilitation Project is finished. That work is expected to be completed by mid-summer.
The city's Street Department is converting the temporary three-way stop at Avenue A and Adams Street back to traffic signals.
