Arrest Made in McPherson County Homicide Investigation

MCPHERSON COUNTY, Kan. — Daniel T. Hawkinson, 18, of McPherson, was arrested March 23 on a warrant for voluntary manslaughter in connection with the Jan. 31 death of Joshua Soden. Kansas Bureau of Investigation agents took Hawkinson into custody at approximately 5:15 p.m. at the McPherson County Sheriff's Office, and he was booked into the McPherson County Jail.

The McPherson County Attorney is expected to prosecute the case. No additional details have been released by investigators. All suspects are presumed innocent unless, or until, found guilty in a court of law.
