Arkansas City to Host Business Informational Session for Entrepreneurs

ARKANSAS CITY, Kan. — The city will host a free business informational session March 3 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Pike Place Community Room, 106 S. Summit, behind the Arkansas City Area Chamber of Commerce.

The session is designed for entrepreneurs who are launching a new venture, trying to get off the ground or growing an existing business and looking to increase sales.

Representatives from the Kansas Small Business Development Center and the Cowley County Economic Development Partnership will provide information and resources.

Topics will include:

  • No-cost advising services.
  • How to make a plan specific to your business.
  • Access to capital, such as grants, loans and funding partners.
  • A look at upcoming educational and growth-focused programs.

Speakers include Bandy Willett from the Kansas Small Business Development Center and Jessica Falk from the Cowley County Economic Development Partnership.
